looking through time

My grandad gave me this old Leica camera a few years ago - it's a real beaut. I think he bought from someone during the second world war, so it sure is pretty old! I haven't actually tried to take any pictures with it yet, I wonder if it still works.

'invisible'

Last week I uploaded this image to all the regular art sharing websites I use (deviantART, flickr, tumblr, facebook, 500px) and I just CANNOT believe the response it has gotten. It was on the front page of websites like Reddit, Tickld, Imgur so so many people would have seen it I was just not expecting this to happen at all, it's all very exciting! It now has over 114k notes on tumblr - normally my posts on tumblr get 10-20 notes so this is just just incredible that this amount of people have liked my work and are re-blogging it! So thank you internet for liking my picture and sharing it IT MEANS SO MUCH! <3 x

MY BABIES

I've had this idea in my head for a while, but couldn't really do it without two DLSR bodies (one to actually take the picture and one to hold). However since my D5100 broke (it was faulty) Amazon sent me a new one this morning, so now I have have two! I have to send back the broken one soon so didn't have long to get this shoot done.

The camera I'm holding is the broken one (so tragic).

It's pretty much what I pictured in my mind so I'm pleased.

mirrors

I took these photos about a month ago, with an old mirror my aunty gave me, I thought I had to use it for some pictures. I've been shooting a lot more conceptual/ portraits lately and can't wait to show you. EEK
